Hi Steve:

Where are you placing the poultry layer pellets? Are they in the water or in a pan/feeder? Is it the same type of feeder/pan that the breeder was using? If not, this might be the problem.

We would suggest that you place a 50% mixture of cracked corn and 50% mixture of poultry layer pellets in a pan near or in the water. Empty some of the food in the water and walk away. Do not let the swans see you and observe them to see if they are eating. They may want the food to be placed directly in the water. Observe them to see which feeder system they are using. It is highly unlikely that they are not feeding. Swans will pout and not eat when humans are around and they are penned. So, walk away and see if you can observe their behavior from a distance. The swans need to feed at will all day and all night. So, the food must be available at all hours of the day/night. The Regal Swan
