Mute Swans are Northern Hemisphere Swans which means that they do very well in cold conditions. Swans need food throughout the day regardless of temperature. Therefore, they migrate to warmer areas during inclement winter months. If swans do not migrate, then they usually know where to find food resources during the winter.
