Is it illegal to feed mute swans in New Jersey? I started feeding a family after my neighbor just stopped all of a sudden. It was winter, the Creek was frozen so I started to feed them poultry pellets and scratch grain. I have been feeding them ever since - not as often because now summer is upon us and there is plenty of vegetation for them but I still feed them. Some one has accused me of illegally feeding the wildlife.
