Hello: In light of the recent proposal by the NY Department Environmental Conservation's plan to lethally eradicate all of NY's wild mute swans, can you please provide some info on how the UK has implemented a swan management program, without resorting to extermination? I understand that they are under the Queen's protection, but in a country a fraction the size of the US, swans are not considered invasive, and appear to coexist with other species.
