I have a female cygnet that is recovering from being bitten by a snapping turtle. The cygnet's wound was sutured by my vet and then had to be confined for about 2 weeks to make sure the opening totally healed. I am in the process of re-introducing her to the flock. We live in Annandale New Jersey about 1 1/2 hours from Philadelphia. We had 6 cygnets this year but the spillway on our lake was under repair and the lake turtle population was condensed into a smaller area so we ended up we losing three out of the six cygnets. The cygnet is almost 4 months old. I can send a photo if you are interested.
