Hi Sillie

Mom knows best. Her count and human's count are two different things. Her count will not start until the last egg is laid. Because she was disturbed during the initial egg laying, that only complicates matters.

She will not sit on non viable eggs because this would be detrimental to her health. Give it a couple more weeks. We seriously doubt it will go that long, more likely a couple more days.

Just ensure she has plenty of food and drinking water available and that she is in fact drinking and eating. If her routine is to leave the nest for a quick bath and rest, you will notice these rests occurring less frequently and with less time as hatching nears. Please let us know how this situation progresses. The Regal Swan
