Hello! I live in Birmingham, AL at an apartment complex which has several pounds. There have been 2 mute swans habitating the pond. My husband and I have noticed that one swan has been missing but yesterday we one swans deceased by the bank. I called the wildlife department but they said they do not assist with removal of this animal. Should I bury this swan? I have been concerned about possibily affecting the other swan and geese that are living at the pond. I think the deceased swan is the female. I feel so sad for the other swan who is alone now. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
