Hi Brian

Unfortunately, we don't know anyone in Massachusetts. With the killing of swans in various states, you need to be careful who you ask for help. Keep feeding him, kneeling as you feed him. Throw the bread closer each time. This is a young hungry bird, so he will get closer. Give him a day or two to come close. Feed him near the bank because he needs water but out of the water. Once he gets comfortable, you will have one shot to gently grab his neck and then control his wings. You do not want to place your head near his wings! He can wail on you so you need to be quick. Once you have his wings under control, you can carry him to a safe enclosed area. Then contact us and we'll put you in touch with Bob Knox if you cant find any other help and give you more info.
