Seen my pair of mute swans mating; it has been two weeks now and there is no sign of nesting to produce eggs.

How long do they start laying eggs after mating? is there any reason for not laying eggs?

My other question is I also have Australia black swans. I put the black female swan with a male mute swan; had a text message from my ground keeper on Monday of this week telling me that there are 3 eggs in the pen

With your experience in mute Swans, does this happen by breaking with a different breed?
