Thank you for all the info! Yes, I agree that there is a lot of misinformation regarding this species. All the research I had done deterred me from contacting the DNR or any other local agency. To be honest, I don’t think authorities are aware of “my” swans because I know they would’ve done everything they could to destroy those eggs last spring.
Is it possible that the young swan could eventually mate with a sibling from another litter?
