Hello, my swans were flooded out again this year, twice. However, they built a new nest last week. It is empty, but she comes and sits on it anyway (briefly). t is very late in the season, so I don't think she will lay any more eggs. However, why did they build a new nest, and why does she sit on it a few hours a day and then swims really far away from it? I have been watching these swans for years and have never seen this.
