Cygnet help: To raise or to return to the aggressive swan father?

Thank you for sharing your knowledge about swans..

I work on a ranch, and there are a family of swans on the pond. They recently had babies (two days ago) Yesterday the dad pushed one baby off onto the shore. I picked him up and the dad did not attack at all. I was worries for his survival so I had him under a red light and feeding him. Should i let him back into the pond or should i continue raising him? Also can he live free range with ducks?
