We discovered this morning one of our two swans on shore not moving around. got close enough to see that the left leg appears to be broken, near the hip, with a lot of blood around that upper leg area. Is there any way of treating the bird? He is in the water now and swimming. Catching a mute swan is difficult so not many vets will even make calls for a bird with a broken leg. Is there much hope that the swan will recover well enough to live?
