We had an old mirror on our porch we were getting rid of and our only male swan kept going up to the mirror and pecking at it and stayed there for what appeared to be a long time since there was poop all over my porch. He did have a mate approximately 3 years ago, but we lost her. I assumed he was lonely and looking for a mate so I ordered him a bride. Things did not work out well at first. She now resides in a smaller pond next to the bigger one that he is living in. He does go back to visit her now and does not appear mean back on her pond. My question is . . . will he ever let her on his 3 acre pond and will they eventually get along on his pond? I hope I didn't make a mistake. She doesn't appear to be stressed now in her pond. What can I do or do I let nature takes its course. Please help!
