In Response To: Re: At what age do swans lay eggs? (The Regal Swan)

Hi Dominic:

Laying of eggs depends on the time of season which depends on the species of swan that you maintain. Age also has an effect on when the eggs are laid.

1. If the swans are at least 1-2 years of age, then they will be able to successfully breed and lay eggs.

2. If the swans are Australian Black Swans, they produce eggs twice a year, once in the spring and once in the summer.

3. If the swans are the Mute Swans, then they produce eggs once a year and begin nesting between March-April. The Regal Swan
