Hello! I have a small 1 to 1.5 acre pond on my property here in Kennesaw, GA and a friend has offered me a mute swan that has been on his pond, about 4 miles away, but has been overly aggressive towards his small children. I've wanted a swan or two for many years so I'm glad to get it. My question is, assuming it has been pinioned, is it likely to stay on my pond? Is there anything I need to do to acclimate it to it's new home? I'd hate for it to just wonder off.
