We, too, last summer had one of two swans wander away. We found it 1 1/2 days later nearly 2 miles away. Since it was tired, hungry, and thirsty, we along with others were able to easly caputure the swan and bring it back. It has not happened since, but wondered why it happened and what we can do to prevent it from happening again.
