Ask the Swan Specialist

In Response To: Re: Tip of Swan Primary Flight Feathers is pinkish (Anita)

Thank you for the reply. I will email the photo as it is too big to send via this message portal. If not clear I can take a few more to send.

The female is eating, drinking, flying. All seems normal. No excessive preening that I’ve noticed but will certainly keep an eye now that you mention it.

How much time does she need to get rid of the bacteria? I am just wondering what the course would be if we need to intervene and the time frame.

After you look at the photo, please let me know if you’d still like to talk via phone.

Thank you so very much.

Regards,
Anita
