I have been following a swan couple for years. they have been mating this spring.

The other day 4 Canadian geese landed in the pond so the male chased them out. He also chased the female swan and she tried to get away screaming. I do have a video of this. This was nothing like when they mate & I have videos of that also.

Is this normal for the male to be so aggressive towards the female?
