Injured beak

Hi,
I was looking through my pictures when I happened to notice that one of the swan kids of a family (showed up a few weeks or so ago in the area) appears to have an injury with its beak. I was wondering if it might be an issue, and if it might have been caused by a swan attack from last week. One of the grey kids had been attacked the previous week when things got really tense between the local family and this new one (made the mistake of going a bit too far from the rest of the family.
On a side question.. is it normal for all the kids from both families start peeping a lot when a fight seems imminent?
