This is Katherine again. Today, June 13, 2014 Swanee and Steven hatched two cygnets. They are lovely and seem to be in good health. I have a few questions. Should I put food and water at the nest for the baby swans to eat? Or will the parents bring food to them? Also I contacted a vet who is willing to pinion their wings on Monday, June 17, 2014, that will be four days after birth. The vet told me to bring them to him on Monday. I am to call first and let him know when I am on my way so that he can be right ready to do the work and so I can get them back to their parents. I believe I have to get this accomplished within two hours, right? No longer than two hours gone from their parents? I am praying that they will still be alive by Monday. It is in God's hands and the competent care of their parents. Swannee seems devoted to them and Steven is a good protector. Anything else I should do?
