So here are the most recent happenings since our last post
We recently sold our largest male to a very nice home and reports have shown he is very eager with amusement with their lone female.
So then we had 2 adult males and we introduced a 5 month female in a kennel first for a month or so and then she was set free with no aggression shown.
After we introduced a year old female in the kennel first and total ciaos for the first two weeks and yet the younger female is in like flint with the two boys.
So at two weeks I released the yearling female out only to be hunted down by the boys and ran from the water but instead of caging her I caught the most aggressive male and caged him.
He spent nearly 30 days in the hole (fowlcatraz) for a much needed time out while are older male let the two new females become acclimated to our lake.
So now you are up to speed on our situation that has taken from July 2017.
Today I opened the gates from Fowlcatraz to let our most aggressive male come out on his own and and to my surprise 5 hours later he is still there. plus all three of the other birds.
They come and go as they want but he wont pass the threshold of the kennel.
No real aggression as of yet just a few little cheap shots.
Sooner or later he will leave but I don't really want to rush anything.
I will continue updates as we go.
Keep your fingers crossed
