Hi Catrin:

If the goose had normal wings and was able to fly from predators, we would suggest to leave him in his pond. However, because he cannot fly to escape predators, he is susceptible to getting killed from both wild and domestic (dogs, cats and human) predators.

The petting farm will take good care of him. He'll get lots of food, shelter, veterinary care and other great care. His best life would be to live in a captive setting where he can be protected and looked after. He will last much longer in the captive setting than the wild. The Regal Swan
