If a bird stops eating, it is a sign that something is very wrong. You need to find a bird/waterfowl/poultry vet that can exam the swan, diagnose the problem, which could be anything from poisoning, parasites, infection, egg impaction if a female, etc., treat the problem and provide supportive care. Without veterinary care, the swan could die. So, this is an emergency situation. Even if a veterinarian is not a bird vet, he/she may still be able to help. If a university has a veterinary program or you have a zoo in your area, they may be able to help you. Please let us know how this works out.
