Great news that you got the cygnet to a veterinarian and have made arrangements for its future care. Thank you for caring and assisting the bird. You might want to wait for the parents to start chasing it from the area---usually around 8-10 months of age when the parents have taught the young bird everything it needs to know about how to be a swan, protect itself from predators, etc. If the cygnet learns how to be a swan from its parents, it will fare much better.
