Ask the Swan Specialist

In Response To: Male swan not walking (Pamela)

Hi, my mother had to move 2 swans from an old shelter to a new farm. However in the process they have to travel around 4 hours in special boxes. After that female seems to be doing ok in the new pond, however the male swan has been unable to stand up, he is barely eating and drinking. We ask a vet but he said legs do not seems to be broken, and he is applying some anti-inflamatory medicine. I was wondering if maybe the trip was too stressful for him? Or maybe he has some musclar weakness. I don't know if you have seen something like this before. But we are really worried.
