A family of swans has returned year after year to mate and raise their young on our Lagoon in New Jersey. Today there is only a sign of one swan. This swan is circuling the dock and falling its wings and then shaking its head. I think it's trying to get out of the water but it looks like it is hurt and can't fly. I just checked on it a few minutes ago and it's just sitting in the water, floating near the dock, with its head tucked in. I've called for help but so far, no one has responded. Ideas?
