I live in rural central Texas and as I was driving home yesterday there was a beautiful swan walking down the middle of my country road. I stopped and got out to see if he/she was wounded. I couldn't see any problem and it was not defensive but rather calm. I didn't want to upset it and also did not know if it would attack me if I touched it, so I didn't. All I did was get behind it and gently walked it off the road.The good news is that on my way into work this morning there was no sign of my rather large buddy and I am hoping it got home safely. It just seemed strange to see it walking right down the center of the road and not knowing if it was looking for help. Thoughts?
