Just after some advice. We have 2 adult swams that have recently (within last 4 weeks) hatched 5 cygnets. Usually you can see them, adults and cygnets, all together on the dock. However, over the past 5 days only the adult swans have been visible. Last year they successfully raised 3 cygnets to adulthood and we're always together until the cygnets were old enough to go on their own.

Is it normal for the adults to leave their young cygnets at such a crucial stage?
