Hi Gail

You need to get him to a veterinarian ASAP. This could be an infection of some kind, i.e., fungal etc., that could spread to other areas of his body and do worse damage to him or spread to the rest of the family. This is something that may be easily treatable and certainly should not be ignored. The Regal Swan
