Hi Sinead

Male Australian Black Swans' eyes turn white during mating season. Because they are a Southern Hemisphere swan species, they mate in the summer which is your winter. So, this may be the reason that his eye coloration is not red.

Poop color is based upon diet. However, white in urine can indicate urates (cloudy crystals) which may or may not indicate a problem as the vet would need to check percentages. Vet needs to check kidney function and blood test.

Does you swan have a mate, if so did anything happen to the mate? Is your swan a male? Are there other males on your pond? If so, he may have been injured fighting or depressed if something happened to his mate or another swan chased him from his mate/territory. Hope this helps. Please keep us updated. The Regal Swan
