Hi, we have a boat on the river hamble in hampshire....... we are having trouble with a swan that blocks our bathing platform and wont let us of the boat. this sounds funny, but its actually not. I love swans, never unkind to them.......... it is just the one, although sometimes another turns up.......... they are both the same sex as far as i can tell and he has a go at the other swan as well as us. we are nowhere near the river bank or a nest..... last night was terrible and my husband nearly fell trying to get away from it. He comeas right up out of the water flapping his wings and hissing................ what do you suggest that I can do to get him away thats not too unfriendly.
