Pair of Swans flew off

For 3 months we have had a pair of Swans on our 2 beautifull park lakes. They seemed to have everything they needed. The whole village were so happy as they were our first Swans. Last moday they just flew off. And havent come back.

The whole village are so disappointed, and we miss them so much. What would cause them to just fly away after being with us for so long.
