Mute swan death and 2 females

Hi,

We had 2 pair of swans one pair of mute and one pair of black. A month ago we lost the black male and just yesterday the white male we found just laying on the grass but still breathing. We took him to the vet and found 2 puncture holes on the front chest. Not sure what got him. Our pond is fenced in but I know fox and raccoons can climb.

Before the black one died we had a raccoon in the coop. We got it and then thought that he bit the black one before we got him. The vet cleaned his wounds gave him an antibiotic and we brought him home. We set him in some hay to keep his neck up. But during the night he turned and got his head down and probably cut off his breathing. My question is now we have the two females left, will they survive without a male? Even if we get two more does not mean they will get along. The birds are 4 and 5 yrs old. I live in Connecticut.
