Hi Richard and Lisa:

If the geese can take off from the ice, so can the swans as long as they have approximately 30-40 yards of clear space. This area also has to be free from obstacles such as trees, buildings, etc. so that they have approximately the same amount of space for lift. Thank you for your kind words.
